July is Sarcoma Awareness Month internationally and we want to help bring awareness to our followers of the illness which if not diagnosed early can be critical.
Sarcomas are rare cancers that develop in the muscle, bone, nerves, cartilage, tendons, blood vessels and the fatty and fibrous tissues and is a type of cancer a lot of people are unaware of.
They can affect almost any part of the body, on the inside or the outside and much more research needs to be done to fully understand how these cancers develop and how best to diagnose and treat them.
Unfortunately, according to Sarcoma UK, 10 people every day are diagnosed with sarcoma in the UK.
